Cardamom Tea / Elaichi Tea

There are lots of different flavored teas available in India with different flavors and aroma. Cardamom tea has the best aroma and flavor among them. Cardamom pods being a spice, is also termed as a herb, and benefits the health in many ways, it cools the body, prevents diseases, has detoxifying property, has antioxidants, gets rid of nausea, and smells great!!! Obviously this cardamom flavored tea is healthy as well as refreshing. A cup of tea with hot  or crispy snacks will surely make your evenings delightful, try this flavor and am sure you will love it. Lets see how to make a cup of strong and tasty cardamom tea.


INGREDIENTS

(Serves 1 glass)
  1. Milk - 3/4 cup
  2. Water - 1/4 cup 
  3. Cardamom pods - 3
  4. Tea powder - 1 spoon
  5. Sugar - 2 spoons

PREPARATION METHOD

  • Crush the cardamom pods or grind it coarsely and keep it aside.
  • In a saucepan add water and once it starts to boil add the crushed cardamom pods, tea powder and boil well for 2 minutes or until you get the cardamom aroma.
  • Add milk and boil for a minute.
  • Strain and add sugar.
  • Serve with snacks.
TIP 1: There are tea powders available with the cardamom flavor, you can use them also.

TIP 2: You can add all the ingredients together in the sauce pan, bring to boil strain and enjoy an instant and aromatic cardamom tea.

TIP 3: If you like more milk you can add a cup of milk and prepare the tea. Or if you like a more watery tea you can add 1/2 cup of water and 1/2 cup of milk and prepare the recipe.



Tasty, Aromatic, Healthy Cardamom tea is now ready!! Have a refreshing cup of tea with some crispy snacks.
