Pepper milk is a simple recipe, prepared with milk, and just two medicinal Indian spices, pepper and turmeric powder but has so much powerful! This drink serves to be a very good medicinal cure for throat infection, congestion due to cold, flu and cough and did I mention it is tasty? This recipes soothes an infected throat and gives immediate relief. Apart from using it as a medicinal drink you can enjoy this as a refreshing drink instead of your regular coffee and tea. Turmeric powder has anti-cancer properties, anti-bacterial properties, anti-inflammatory properties and can heal wounds and sores instantly. Apply a paste of coconut oil and turmeric powder on sores to see it getting healed rapidly. Rapidly doesn't mean healing in seconds, but it does work faster to heal the sore. Pepper is a spice that can get rid of digestive problems, and is a cure for cold, coughs, throat infections, intestinal problems, lack of appetite, studies also show that it lowers risk of cancer and various other health issues. By now you must be able to calculate how potent this drink would be. I have used powdered palm candy in the recipe which makes the drink have a unique and awesome flavor and also makes it even more healthy as it does not hike the sugar levels unlike sugar. It is rich in minerals and vitamins and also has medicinal properties. If you have urinary tract infections take palm candy very often to get rid of the trouble. They also help get rid of cold, cough and congestion :) So double the benefit!

Makes drink for one person
Total Preparation Time - 5 minutes
- Boiled milk - 250
- Turmeric powder - 3 pinches
- Black pepper powder - 1/8 spoon
- Honey or Sugar or Palm candy - As required
PREPARATION METHOD
- Boil milk well.
- To a cup add hot milk, sugar/panangkalkandu, turmeric powder, pepper powder and stir well. (I have used panakarkandu as it is a healthier option than sugar)

TIP : Panakarkandu (Palm candy) is a natural replacement for sugar I have just ground it and used it in the recipe, if you are not familiar with this ingredient you can use honey or raw brown sugar or even sugar.
I never pictured milk and pepper together. You guys have such a diversity in the food department :)
