Who doesn't love the chocolaty nutella? I haven't come across anyone who hates it. Spread it, use as a ingredient or lick it off all way it is a delight, you can never go wrong with nutella. Then how about some delicious, soft and chocolaty, nutella pancakes? Its so easy to make and its too delicious and you cannot stop just eating one, I bet!!! Just some flour, milk and nutella will get you soft and delicious pancakes, try these for your breakfast or serve them simply as snack I assure you that these will disappear from the plate in a jiffy. These are so soft and chocolaty it almost tasted like soft chocolate cakes, you don't need sauce or honey to accompany it just serve them plain. When I served these to my hubby he exclaimed with an enlightened face saying "these taste like soft chocolate cakes" wow that sure was a good compliment. Try this and let me know how much you loved it. Lets now get to know how I made these yummilicious pancakes.
Makes 3 to 4 small pancakes
Total Preparation Time - 15 minutes - Maida / All purpose flour - 1 cup (100 grams)
- Milk - 1/2 cup
- Sugar - 1/4 cup (25 grams)
- Nutella - 2 spoonfuls
- Butter milk (sour) - 1/4 cup (optional)
- Baking soda - A pinch
- Butter or oil - As needed (or 1 spoon)
- Mix nutella, butter milk and milk together and stir well until they blend well together, no add maida, sugar and baking soda and stir well to make a thick batter out of it. It should not be very thick nor very runny. See that there are no lumps formed.
- Adjust the consistency with some extra milk or buttermilk if needed. Set this batter aside for 10 to 30 minutes. (depends on the time availability)
- Then heat a pan and brush/spread some butter or oil (optional) in the center. Then pour a ladle full of the prepared batter. (cook on low flame)
- Flip the pancake using a flat spatula and cook for a few minutes or until the pancakes gets cooked. (takes not more than 3 minutes)
- Remove from flame, do the same with the rest of the batter and serve.
TIP 2: Buttermilk made the pancakes more softer, but I have tried the same pancakes without buttermilk too, both ways its so delicious. Similarly you can use butter or oil, it does not make much difference. You can try these without butter or oil too, but use a nonstick pan.
TIP 3: You can serve it plain or with strawberry sauce or with vanilla ice-cream.
