Onion Raita / Curd Onion Raita

Raitas are specially served with pulao or any roti varieties. It can be used as a dip, and can also be termed as Indian curd salad. There are varieties of raitas available in India, most commonly prepared with vegetables. This particular curd onion raita is my favorite, I love the curd's richness and onion's crunchiness. Onion has many health benefits, especially they are have anti-inflammatory, anti-fungal, anti bacterial properties and many other nutrients. Curd/Yogurt has carbohydrates and many essential nutrients, having curd/yogurt on an empty stomach gets rid of digestive problems. This curd raita goes well with Biryanis, Chapathi, Parota, Etc. It requires very few ingredients and is the simplest!!! Lets see how to make this raita.

INGREDIENTS

  1. Big onions - 2
  2. Curd/Yogurt/Dahi - 1 cup
  3. Coriander leaves - Few
  4. Salt

PREPARATION METHOD

  • To a cup of curd add chopped onions, chopped coriander leaves, salt and mix well.
  • Serve!!
Simplest Dip/Side-dish is ready. It is so yummy due to the addition of curd. Have it with Biryani, Chapathi and any Roti variety!!!
